With "endings & beginnings" I decided to go for a different way from my usual musical research.
"endings & beginnings" is not a conceptual album but more of a memories collection, an emotional journey into some moments of my recent life, with its losses and loves.
To reach this goal I went for song based structures and an electroacoustic approach to the sound matter: wood and metal combines with electricity and circuits. Strings, bows, brasses, tubolar bells, bouzoukis, no input mixers, self oscillating filters, field recordings. Every element was conceived to communicate its own timbre in connection with the others.
"endings & beginnings" is made of raw materials and it has a low fidelity overall approach. The sound changes like our memories, which are a living matter.
I invited a lot of friends and amazing artists to join me in this journey. They shared their art and their memories and I'm grateful of this. Thank you with all my heart.
"endings & beginnings" doesn't have a linear story behind it. It's similar to a fog, an evolving translation of feelings and faces, voices and situations. I hope you could find your story inside of it.
